Your PTA Pages User Agreement
The following describes the terms on which PTA Pages offers you access to our services.
Introduction
These terms and conditions apply to the services available from the domain and sub-domains of http://www.ptapages.co.uk and from all other PTA Pages branded websites provided for U.K. users, (together, the 'Site'). If you reside in the U.K. you are contracting with PTA Pages, Campion House, Green Street, Kidderminster, Worcestershire, DY10 1JF
Your use of our services is governed by the following terms and conditions. Before you can become a member of PTA Pages, you must read and accept all of the terms and conditions of this User Agreement. You should read through all the terms carefully. The User Agreement constitutes a legally binding agreement between you and PTA Pages.
This User Agreement is valid from 1 May 2008 and is effective upon acceptance for new users.
Using PTA Pages
You may not use the Site if you are under the age of 18 or you are not able to form legally binding contracts.
While using the Site, you will not:
If you are registering with PTA Pages as a business entity, using our business advertising service, you represent that you have the authority to legally bind that entity.
We will commence supplying our services to you as soon as you accept this User Agreement. Unless you and PTA Pages agree otherwise, you will not be able to cancel this User Agreement under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (or any equivalent legislation in your jurisdiction) once the supply of the services has commenced.
Abusing PTA Pages
PTA Pages work tirelessly to keep the website working properly and the community safe. Please report problems, offensive content, and policy breaches to us.
Without limiting other remedies, we may issue you with warnings, limit, suspend, or terminate our services and your account(s), restrict your access to, and your activities.
We also reserve the right to cancel unconfirmed PTA Pages accounts.
You agree not to hold PTA Pages responsible for any loss you may incur as a result of PTA Pages taking any of the actions described above. Fees paid will not be refunded should we decide to terminate your account as a result of breaching our terms and/or conditions.
No spam
We do not tolerate spam (unsolicited commercial communications). You may not add other PTA Pages users, even a user who has purchased an item from you, to a mailing list (e-mail or physical mail) without their consent.

Using information about other PTA Pages users
Our Site enables users to share personal and financial information in order to complete transactions. When users are involved in a transaction, they may obtain access to each other's name, email address, and other contact information, postal information and financial information. We cannot guarantee that other users will respect the privacy or security of your information and therefore we encourage you to evaluate the privacy and security policies of your trading partners before entering into transactions and choosing to share your information with them. Similarly, we ask you to respect other users' privacy and disclose your privacy and security policies to them.
PTA Pages - Fees
Joining PTA Pages carries a membership fee. Click here for fee structure. We do charge fees for using other services, such as listing items for sale using our ‘Classifieds Listing Service'. When you list an item or use a service that has a fee, you have an opportunity to review and accept the fees that you will be charged based on our policy, which we may change from time to time. Changes to the fees will take effect 14 days after we notify you of them either by email or via a posting on the Site. We may choose to temporarily change the fees for our services for promotional events or new services, and such changes are effective when we post the temporary promotional event or new service on the Site.
Unless otherwise stated, all fees are payable in GB pounds sterling. You are responsible for paying all fees associated with using the PTA Pages on joining with a valid payment method. If your payment method fail, your membership will not commence.
Liability
Nothing in this User Agreement shall limit or exclude our liability for fraudulent misrepresentation, for death or personal injury resulting from our negligence or the negligence of our agents or employees or for any other liability that cannot be limited or excluded by law.
You will not hold PTA Pages responsible for other users' actions or inactions. Although PTA Pages allows access to listings of many thousands of services and products availability through third parties, we accept no liability for any damages which may occur whilst utilising those services or products.
We review user's listings to ensure they contain appropriate material; however, we do not guarantee or recommend any services offered. You will not hold PTA Pages responsible for the actions or inactions of buyers or sellers involved in transactions (whether such transactions are carried out on or off PTA Pages) or for ensuring that they actually complete transactions.
We have no control over, do not guarantee, and you will not hold us responsible for:
- the quality, safety or legality of items advertised;
- the truth or accuracy of listings;
- the ability of sellers to sell items;
- the ability of buyers to pay for items; or
- whether a buyer or seller will actually complete a transaction.
Please do not assume that the offer, sale, purchase, export or import of any item is valid and legal simply because it is listed on the PTA Pages Site.
You accept sole responsibility for the legality of your actions under laws applying to you and the legality of any items you list on the Site.
We cannot guarantee continuous or secure access to our PTA Pages services, and operation of the PTA Pages Site may be interfered with by numerous factors outside of our control. Whilst we will use our reasonable endeavours to maintain an uninterrupted service, we cannot guarantee this and we do not give any promises or warranties (whether express or implied) about the availability of our services.
We (including our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees) shall not be liable to you in contract, tort (including negligence) or otherwise for any business losses, such as loss of data, profits, revenue, business, opportunity, goodwill, reputation or business interruption or for any losses which are not reasonably foreseeable by us arising out of your use of our Site.
Regardless of the previous paragraph, if we are found to be liable, our liability, and the liability of our parent, subsidiaries, affiliates, officers, directors, agents and employees, to you is limited in any 12 month period to the greater of: (a) the total fees you paid to us in relation to the listing or other service offered which gave rise to the liability, and (b) £100.
Release
If you have a dispute with one or more users, you release us (and our officers, directors, agents, subsidiaries, joint ventures and employees) from claims, demands and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
Access and interference
You must agree not to:
- copy, reproduce, modify, create derivative works from, distribute, or publicly display any content (except for your information) from the Site without the prior expressed written permission of PTA Pages and the appropriate third party, as applicable;
- interfere or attempt to interfere with the proper working of the Site or any activities conducted on the Site; or

PTA Pages values the privacy of our visitors/customers and takes every known precaution to safe guard the information we collect from unauthorized use. The following is a detailed explanation of the privacy policy for PTA Pages.
What information do we collect?
PTA Pages believes it is important for you to know what types of information we collect when you use our site. We employ various methods for collecting information. To begin with, we use 'cookies' that are needed to compile aggregate non-personally identifiable information about the visitors to our web site. We maintain a rigorous hiring process to screen out potential employees with criminal backgrounds. All employees that we do hire have to sign a confidentiality agreement that forbids them from disclosing any information to which the employee has access, to other individuals or entities. We also have back up servers and power supplies to guard against power outages and other natural occurrences that could pose a threat to the integrity of your personal information.
Only those employees that are responsible for handling your account have access to your information. Additionally, employees in our technical department may have access to your information in order to conduct routine checks on the integrity of our system and in order to perform necessary maintenance work. In order to process your credit card we have to consult with an out side credit card processing company. These processing companies are regulated by the banking industry and must meet certain security requirements in order to be in business. The processing companies will have access to your credit card information, billing address, name, and possibly your telephone number. The processing company will communicate with the issuing bank of your credit card in order to get final approval to charge your credit card for the product or services we are providing for you. Should you choose to receive additional information regarding one of our services or products, we may pass your email address to one of our partners who offers similar products or services that you might be interested in. Additionally, judicial requests by a duly authorized court will require us to divulge certain information regarding your account should that situation arise. Finally, should our company ever be bought or sold, your account information would then become the property of the new owner/entity.
Can I correct or remove information from your site?
You always have the option to view your account to make sure the information we have collected from you is indeed correct. You also have the option of removing any information from your account that you wish to keep private. However, please note that removing certain information such as your email address, contact information, and the like may greatly hinder our ability to effectively provide the service or products you have requested. We recommend that you contact us first to discuss which information you may remove without interrupting the quality of service we intend to provide for you.
Can I opt out of having certain information collected?
You have the option of disabling your computer's ability to accept or transmit cookies. This will prevent us from gathering certain non-personally identifiable information from you. You also have the option of removing yourself from any email distribution list that you may have signed up for.
Notice of changes to this privacy policy
We reserve the right to change this privacy policy at any time. However, if any changes do occur, we will publish the changes to our web site and post a notice on the home page that a new privacy policy has been implemented. We will also take reasonable steps to contact you personally to let you know of the new changes. Should the company be bought or sold to someone else, we will take reasonable steps to notify you personally. You will then be given the option to keep your account open or to terminate.

Microsoft Internet Explorer 6/7 will evaluate this policy's compact policy whenever it is used with a cookie. The actions IE will take depend on what privacy level the user has selected in their browser (Low, Medium, Medium High, or High; the default is Medium. In addition, IE will examine whether the cookie's policy is considered satisfactory or unsatisfactory, whether the cookie is a session cookie or a persistent cookie, and whether the cookie is used in a first-party or third-party context. Compensation
You agree that you will only use the Site in accordance with the terms and conditions set out in this User Agreement. You will compensate us in full for any losses or costs (including reasonable legal fees) we incur arising from any breach by you of this User Agreement.
No agency
No agency, partnership, joint venture, employee-employer or franchisor-franchisee relationship is intended or created by this User Agreement.
Third party rights
A person who is not a party to this User Agreement has no right under the Contracts (Rights of Third Parties) Act 1999 to enforce any term of this User Agreement but this does not affect any right or remedy of a third party specified in this User Agreement or which exists or is available apart from that Act.
Governing law and dispute resolution
This User Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with English law. You and PTA Pages both agree to submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the English Courts.
If a dispute arises between you and PTA Pages, we strongly encourage you to first seek a resolution by contacting us directly.
Classified listings
Classified listings are free of charge for registered members and are limited to one listing per member. A listing will be displayed on PTA Pages for 14 days, after which it will be deleted to protect you from nuisance callers. You may replace the advert if your item has not sold. All advertising on PTA Pages is moderated on submission.
